FIELD REPAIR OR MODIFICATION
Many times, defects or errors can be corrected on the job site. In these situations, the dealer must receive
advance authorization from North Cabinetry. North Cabinetry reserves the right to approve a field repair or
decide arrangements for the return of the merchandise to the factory for rework.
North Cabinetry may ask that item, considered defective, be returned to the factory before it is replaced. If it is
in North Cabinetry's and the dealer's mutual best interest to leave a defective item on the job site until the remake
is delivered, the defective part must be returned to the factory within 30 days. Credit for defective items will be
issued upon their return to the factory with detailed references to original order (copy of original or shipping
memo).
DOOR WARPAGE
Our experience has shown that some cabinet doors will warp slightly after installation in a new construction site
because of high moisture. In older remodeled homes, warpage may occur because of low humidity.
In order to avoid this situation, North Cabinetry controls the moisture content in the wood, but be aware that
storage of cabinets in areas that are not temperature and humidity controlled will void the North Cabinetry
warranty.
Before replacing a door for warpage, please make sure that the door is warped rather than the cabinet being
racked. Most warped doors may be adjusted by the door hinges. It is often a better solution to install some type
of catch to flatten the door against the cabinet front, especially in the case of doors taller than 36", angled, mitered
or radius doors. There is no warranty against warpage for doors taller than 42". In most situations, the door will
return to its normal flat position after going through four seasonal changes.
North Cabinetry will replace at no charge any doors that show more than ⅜" of warpage when placed on a flat
surface.
